2009 ACI Airport Business and Trinity Forum held in Macau
Countering the Crisis through Collaboration, Creativity and Consumer Focus
180 delegates from around the World representing brands, operators and airports from 30 countries gathered at Macau for several days to participate in the 2009 ACI Airport Business and Trinity Forum. As airports worldwide are seeking to trim costs and enhancing the non-aeronautical revenue, the forum was of particular interest to business and aviation industry members facing tough economic climate of today. Representatives and guest speakers from the world’s top retail and food & beverage concessionaires and related non-aeronautical revenue specialists expressed their views at the event. One of the main discussions at the conference is to look for a better business partnership model to enhance mutual understanding and to the eventual win-win situation.
The Forum was kicked off with the Opening Cocktail on 23rd September and would be held for two day from 24th. The “2009 Airport Business and Trinity Forum”, hosted by Macau International Airport Co. Ltd. jointly organized by ACI and “The Moodie Report” has been the fifth year event, bringing together a powerful trio of airport platform business partners –brands, airport and concessionaires. Together they formed partners seeking the dual goals of customer service excellence and revenue diversification and growth.
The Forum offered a great opportunity to speak with leaders in this field of business development at airports. CAM management also attended the event including Dr. Deng Jun, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Ms. Suning Liu, Executive Director of Macau International Airport Co. Ltd., Directors and managers of all departments. Representing the event Host, Ms Liu expressed her appreciation and sincere thanks to ACI and The Moodie Report at the Forum Opening for organizing ACI Airport Business & Trinity Forum 2009 in Macau. She expressed her conviction that the expert communications by the speakers and the experiences shared through productive discussions among all participants in this conference will certainly help everyone and especially Macau Airport to do better. Besides, she also briefed on the development of the airport recent years non-aeronautical revenue and passenger traffic growth.

Macau International Airport Company Limited jointly with King Power Group organized the 2009 ACI Airport Business and Trinity Forum Gala dinner which took place at the MGM Grand Hotel Ballroom. Over 200 guests attended at the gala.
The Senior Assistant to Chairman & Director of Marketing Mr. Antonio Rato stated in his welcome speech that he would like to express his thankfulness and appreciation for welcoming this event to our city and he took the opportunity to thank the organizers and all entities that were making their best to create the conditions for this to be another successful and joyful event at Macau.
