Dr. Deng Jun, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited led a delegation to pay a visit to Mr. Simon Chan, President of Civil Aviation Authority of Macau SAR (AACM) in the early 2019. In conclusion of 2018, the passenger throughput of Macau International Airport (MIA) surpassing 8.2 million was achievement gained from cooperation and coordination among both sides with relevant units. The two sides also discussed the development trend of Macao's civil aviation in the near future. It is believed that the opening of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will enhance the interconnection of MIA in the Greater Bay Area. In the future, there will be closer communication. And with the trend of world civil aviation, the airport security and safety will be improved.

In order to meet the air transportation needs of Macao residents and foreign visitors to travel abroad through Macau during the tourist season, AACM increased flight approvals in 2018, supported the expansion and upgrading projects of airport terminals, and coordinated air traffic management effectiveness with the Mainland. Macau International Airport will continue to cooperate with the implementation and related publicity work according to the regulation updates of the Authority.
