On 14th May 2019, Macau International Airport Company Limited. (CAM) organized staff from Finance & Administration Department, Corporate Communication & Policy Research Office, Airport Operation Department and its subsidiary company SEMAC to visit the China International Emergency Medical Team (Macau) campsite. Through this visit, we can have more understanding to the responsibility of the emergency medical team (EMT), the preparation process before departure and the full set of material list needed. As an international port, Macau International Airport should have sufficient knowledge on the EMT so that we can provide the most efficient and most appropriate assistance once they needed.

Macau is the fifth emergency medical team in China, responsible for the Western Pacific area. In standard configuration, the campus covers an area of about 3,600 square meters. It is equipped with 41 large and small tents, more than 630 pieces of materials, total weight about 22 tons. With all these materials, EMT can complete 14 days clinical medical work independently. Also, they are required to arrive within 48 hours after received the request. Besides Cantonese, members also can speak Mandarin, English and Portuguese languages which is rare among 25 teams in the world.
