Macau International Airport Joins the World Challenge Day
At the invitation of the Macau Sports Bureau, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) has convened airport employees for the 12th consecutive year to participate in the World Challenge Day. On 29th May 2019, the activity was held at the departure hall (airside) of Macau International Airport (MIA), together with various operation companies, including CAM, AIMS - Airport Information Management Solution Limited, SEMAC Security Company (SEMAC) and Menzies Macau Airport Services Ltd. Together, over 100 employees from MIA participated in the activity, accompanied by the team from the Macau Sports Bureau, they exercised at the Airport Passenger Terminal Building for 15 minutes.
The World Challenge Day is a worldwide fitness program organized by the International Mass Sports Association (TAFISA) & the Association of Asia Pacific Group (ASFAA), in which to arouse the public’s enthusiasm for exercises and promotes the healthy lifestyle of "lifelong sports", encourages all citizens to exercise for a minimum of fifteen minutes daily. The event is categorized according to the population size, whilst drawing lots is used by TAFISA to determine the competitors of participating cities. This year, Macao competed against Jerusalem, Israel with a population of about 850,000.
