Tripartite Air Traffic Management CDM Coordination Agreement Signed and Macau International Airport ACDM Project Launched
On 15th January 2020, Air Traffic Services Division of the Operation Branch of the Airport Operation Department of the Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and the Guangzhou Air Traffic Control Center and the Zhuhai Approach Control Center of the Civil Aviation Central South Air Traffic Management Bureau had jointly signed the coordination agreement for Air Traffic Management Collaborative Decision Making System (CDM) with immediate effect. The agreement specifies how to coordinate the slot time of each aircraft departing from Macau International Airport via flying over Guangzhou airspace, what tolerances and emergency coordination mechanisms are available and planned. All these processes are completed through the system. Normally, no manual coordination is required, which greatly reduces the workload of front line controllers. This will improve work efficiency, reduce human error and lay a good foundation for the airport to provide quality services.
In addition, the Macau International Airport Collaborative Decision Making System (ACDM) Project was officially launched on 10th January 2020 and is expected to be put into trial operation in May this year. After the system is put into operation, it will provide effective means for supervising the various ground support units at the airport, provide a reliable basis for the efficient allocation of resources, and provide recorded data for briefing and accident investigation. After the integration of ACDM and CDM system,we believe that this will provide a strong guarantee for reducing aircraft turnover time and improving airport efficiency and capacity.
