Director of Zhuhai Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee Mr. Zhao Li together with his delegates paid a visit to Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) on 23rd October 2020. They were warmly received by the Chairman of the Executive Committee Dr. Deng Jun and Executive Directors: Mr. Chu Tan Neng and Mr. Leung Henry Yee Hang. In the meeting, it was mentioned that the Zhuhai Free Trade Zone is committed to focusing on economic and trade cooperation between Zhuhai and Macau and building an important platform, a regional international logistics hub and a super headquarters economic zone that supports the moderately diversified and sustainable development of the Macau economy.

As a free port, Macau has certain advantages in the development of bonded aviation materials. The related development requires the cooperation of land resources, that aircraft parts and accessories are conditionally stored in the bonded area and transported from the bonded area to Macau when needed. In terms of logistics, it is conditional to put the freighter pallet packaging business in the bonded area, and transport from Zhuhai to Macau International Airport according to the flight schedule. The Zhuhai-Macau cross-border e-commerce base was formally established in Zhuhai Free Trade Zone in July this year.  At present, a number of modules was introduced at the base, such as e-commerce live broadcast, selection of Hong Kong and Macau products, boutique logistics, and bonded warehousing. In the future, it will create a new growth pole for the economic development of Zhuhai and Macau, and to support the development of the e-commerce industry of SMEs in Macau.
