CAM representative attended the Nineteenth Meeting of the Asia Pacific Regional Aviation Safety Team (APRAST/19), hosted by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Asia Pacific Regional Office that was held at its Office in Bangkok from 6th to 10th February 2023, with a total of 84 representatives from 19 States/Administration Regions in Asia Pacific Region, and 6 international organizations/industry partners. Mr. Justin Ip, Safety Manager of Airport Operations Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the meeting together with the representatives from Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM). The participants from the member states and administrations reviewed the implementation of the APRAST work in the past few years, discussed the safety concerns in Asia Pacific Region and acquired the latest safety information from ICAO. AACM has been co-chair of the APRAST Subgroup which defines initiatives, measures and tasks that help to enhance the aviation safety for the Asia Pacific Region since 2015. CAM has been supporting the safety initiatives and measures of AACM, exchanging experience and challenges, and actively improving to ensure that Macau International Airport could implement the advocated safety measures smoothly.
