Mr. Chan Weng Hong, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM and Executive Directors warmly welcomed Mr. Zhu Paibo, new General Manager of Air Macau and his delegation on 4th January 2024. Both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on future development of Air Macau and discussed the development of international routes.

During the meeting, Mr. Chan Weng Hong introduced the current development status of Macau International Airport (MIA). Passenger volume of MIA recorded significant increase and various infrastructure projects are proceeding at a steady pace. At the same time, MIA actively support and cooperate with the tourism development direction of the Macau SAR Government. It is expected that MIA will cooperate with Air Macau more closely in the future and jointly expand new passenger sources in Macau and international markets, provide more flexible choices for local citizens and tourists, and develop more diversified route services. Mr. Zhu Paibo, the new General Manager of Air Macau, stated that Air Macau will actively cooperate with the development of Macau’s aviation industry and two wide-body aircrafts will be introduced this year to append new impetus to the aviation market.

Other delegates attended the meeting include: Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Mr. Kan Cheok Kuan, Mr. Lei Si Tai and Mr. Leung Henry Yee Hang, Executive Directors of CAM. Ms. Katy Lo, Director of Executive Committee Office of CAM, Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department and Mr. Gary Geng, Director of Airport Operation Department. Representatives from Air Macau include:  Mr. Chen Hong and Mr. Liao Hanxi.
