Macau International Airport Actively Promotes E-Boarding Pass Service

E-Boarding Pass Service have been launched at Macau International Airport (MIA) since 1st September 2023 and the operating airlines has been actively encouraging to introduce this service. Currently, a total of 5 carries, namely, Eva Air, STARLUX Airlines, AirAsia, Scoot and Jeju Air have launched E-boarding pass service. As the base airline, Air Macau will enable this service to passengers who are holding “Exit/Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao” or “Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents” on flights to the Mainland of China starting from 28th March 2024.

Passengers who using E-boarding pass services only need to complete the check-in procedures via their carrier’s website or mobile application to obtain the E-boarding pass. Upon arrival to the airport (without check-in luggage), passengers can directly proceed with departure procedures with a valid travel document and the E-boarding pass's QR code. This will greatly enhance the convenience of passenger and save their waiting time at manual check-in counters. Moreover, the realization of paperless boarding passes facilitates green travel and saves energy and reduce carbon emissions effectively. MIA will continue to improve its facilities and service levels, providing a seamless travel experience for both Macau residents and travellers, so as to support the development of Macau as a world-class tourism and leisure destination.
