CAM Representatives Attended the 2024 Air Traffic Management High-Level Leaders’ Meeting Among Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao and the Technical Meeting for Airspace Planning and Flow Management
From 3rd to 4th June 2024, representatives of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) were invited to Zhuhai to attend the 2024 air traffic management high-level leaders’ meeting among the mainland, Hong Kong and Macau and the technical meeting for airspace planning and air traffic flow Management. The tripartite airspace planning and air traffic flow management technical groups reported in the air traffic management high-level leadership meeting, the results achieved last year in airspace planning, air traffic flow management and progress for air traffic control simulation model system construction, the work plan for 2024 and the airspace planning plan for 2025. The relevant progress and time schedule for Macau International Airport to join the national air traffic flow management system and the specific application time were explained in the meeting. Meanwhile, CAM representative was invited to introduce the status for Macau’s new heliport opening, operational preparations and proposals for establishing new helicopter route entry and exit points. The general idea of the proposal was approved in the meeting, Macau will coordinate with Air Traffic Control units of CAAC Central and Southern Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) for the detailed specific implementation plan.
Participants from CAM included: Mr. Geng Yajun, Director of Airport Operations Department, Mr. Hoover Hu - Senior Head of ATS Division of Airport Operations Department, Ms. Pricilla Cheong - Adviser to Head of Air Traffic Services Division and Mr. Sam Sun - Senior Air Traffic Control Supervisor.
