CAM Representatives Attended the Tripartite Airspace Management Technical Group Meeting among Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao
From 19th to 21st August 2024, representatives from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) were invited to Beijing to attend the Tripartite Airspace Management Technical Group Meeting among Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. Participants from the Airspace Management Center of Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) CAAC, Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, Macau Civil Aviation Authority, CAM and professional from aviation industry have attended the meeting. The meeting focused on sharing experience in new technologies application in the industry, including: Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required (RNP AR) and Established on RNP AR (EoR) for simultaneous independent approach on parallel instrument runways, etc. In the meeting, CAM representatives introduced the experience and positive results of the implementation and application of RNP AR flight procedures for Runway 16 of Macau International Airport since 2019 and the future application plans for new technologies. Participants expressed their appreciation for the significant reduction in the go-around rate of Runway 16 since the implementation of Macau International Airport.
During the meeting, ATMB arranged visits for participants from Macau and Hong Kong to the Operations Management Center, Information Management Center and Aviation Meteorological Center of ATMB CAAC, as well as North China ATMB. In-depth discussions were conducted on topics such as further improving the air traffic control capacity of the Greater Bay Area and the application of new technologies, etc. Through closer cooperation and exchanges, tripartite parties agreed to achieve “Sincere Cooperation and Collaborated Win”.
