Macau International Airport Unveils More Convenient Departures with Adjusts Check-in Counter Closing Time
With the activation of the “Central Security Checkpoint” and the rollout of “MIA One ID” of Macau International Airport (MIA), the security screening times have been significantly reduced, enabling a smoother and more efficient journey from check-in to boarding. To better align with passengers’ schedules and reduce unnecessary time pressure at the airport, the airport has coordinated with all airlines to adjust check-in counter closing time. Starting from 29th March 2026, the counter will close 45 minutes before scheduled departure time, change from the previous 1 hour. This change is expected to offer passengers have a better flexibility and optimizing the entire travel experience.
MIA will continue to optimize operations to deliver safer, more efficient, and more passenger-friendly services, while closely monitoring passenger flow to ensure the enhanced departure experience is consistently delivered.
