2026 / 03 / 29

Recently, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) issued new regulations regarding the carrying of power banks on passenger aircraft, which officially took effect on March 27 (Friday). Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) has immediately coordinated with all entities to fully cooperate in implementing the new regulations, ensuring aviation safety and smooth travel for passengers.

According to the new regulations, the core requirements include:

• Quantity Limit: Each passenger may carry a maximum of 2 power banks on board.

• Usage Guidelines: Charging power banks during flight is strictly prohibited.

Macau International Airport has quickly completed training for frontline staff and ensured that passengers clearly understand the relevant regulations through airport announcements and on-site guidance.

We kindly remind passengers to check their carry-on baggage before traveling and strictly abide by the regulations regarding carrying power banks to jointly maintain a safe and comfortable flight environment. Macau International Airport will continue to strictly implement international safety standards to provide reliable travel protection for passengers.
