Macau International Airport Representatives Attended China Civil Aviation Association (CCAA) – A-CDM Training
The “Airport and Ground Operation A-CDM” course organized by China Civil Aviation Association (CCAA), and supported by International Air Transport Association (IATA), took place at Civil Aviation Management Institute of China, from 7th to 9th August 2018 in Beijing. Mr. Alex Fong, Deputy Director of Infrastructure Development Department, Mr. Dicky Chu, Head of Airport Operations Division of Airport Operation Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and Mr. Ming Huang, Deputy Director of Technical Service Department of Airport Information Management Solutions Limited (AIMS) participated the training.
With the growing business of the Macau International Airport (MIA) in recent years, higher requirements have been placed on the operational efficiency of the airport and the utilization of resource allocation. A-CDM: Airport Collaborative Decision Making is a mechanism and system that integrates airports, air traffic control, airlines and other related parties into a unified platform to realize joint operation of airport operation management in resource sharing and information interaction. The A-CDM will effectively improve the operational efficiency of the airport, thus MIA will plan to establish relevant mechanisms and build an A-CDM system.
The three-day training course was lectured by IATA’s instructor – Mr. Velissarios Eleftheriou, and attracted 46 participants from 16 domestic airports and 3 related companies. The course introduces how to formulate efficient airport and ground operation procedures, the major problems related to A-CDM, building trust between airport stakeholders, A-CDM business case study, effective A-CDM implementation, existing and future decision making tools, etc. Moreover, experience on A-CDM development and implementation were shared between the participants.
