The Beijing Capital International Airport is carrying out the runway asphalt overlay project, an expedition delegation of Macau International Airport Co, Ltd. (CAM) and related entities visited the runway construction work in Beijing Capital International Airport from 26^th to 27^th May 2015 with coordination by Civil Aviation Authority (AACM). The visit including the runway overlay work with SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) on site, involved the adjustment of runway lighting control system, treatment of the reflection cracks from the bottom base, material and machinery arrangement, test and commissioning criteria, etc. The runway construction works in tied schedule is the most difficult part of the entire runway pavement construction. The representatives of delegation had an on-site visit and exchanged practical experiences with the construction team. It is very helpful to raise the knowledge and understanding for Macau International Airport’s upcoming runway enhancement projects.
