Royal Flight Airlines Flight Re-launch Ceremony for Macau – Moscow Service
Royal Flight Airlines once again arrived Macau on the 17th May 2017, offering weekly charter service between Macau and Moscow, and planned to increase twice weekly service during summer. Royal Flight Airlines held a flight re-launch ceremony at Macau International Airport (MIA), marking the formal resumption of flights between Macau and Moscow; passengers taking the first flight to Moscow were given souvenirs from the airport to celebrate this special moment. Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) represented to attend the ceremony.
Mr. Eric Fong extended a very warm welcome to Royal Flight for the resume services in MIA. He expressed in his speech, “MIA has been longing for opportunities to launch Russian market for many years, flight resumed between Macau and Moscow complied our long-term commitment to grow mid-long haul services of MIA. In recent years, Russia’s economy has been rapidly expanding, and tourism vastly boomed. Since 2012 Russia and Macau signed agreement on mutual visa exemption, numbers of Russian tourists to Macau has increased significantly. Accordingly to the statistics from Macau Government Tourism Office, visitors from Russia to Macau in 2016 rose 10% compared to last year. And believe the reopening of Moscow direct service will bring closer business, tourism, and culture development as well as enhance closer co-operation between the two cities.
Moscow is the capital and largest city of Russia; it is also the largest metropolitan area in Europe, and one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world. With resuming flight service between Macau - Moscow, it provides more travel options to passengers. To meet with the travel peak season in summer, MIA will continue our close cooperation with airlines to strengthen frequency of existing routes, and continue provide safe, comfort, and hassle free journey to travelers.
