Representatives of CAM - Macau International Airport Company Limited participated in the Alipay “2017 Global Smart Tourism Ecosystem Summit” on 26^th September, 2017 in Beijing Shangri-La's China World Hotel. Alipay is one of China's major mobile payment platforms, together with partners from the tourism and retail sectors. Alipay unveiled its plans for "smart tourism" with technology expected to play a role in helping tourists apply for visas online, recommending local shops and businesses and assisting with tax refunds. In addition to this, according to data from Alipay, the mobile payment tool can now be used in more than 30 countries and regions, 24 of which offer tax refund services through the platform.

Representatives of MIA participated in the seminar were Ms. Yuan Wei Fang, Chief Representative of Beijing Representative Office of CAM, and Ms. Elizabeth Cheong, Deputy Director of CAM Marketing Department and Mr. Daniel Lam, Manager of CAM Marketing Department.
