CAM delegation paid a visit to Guangdong Airport Authority (GAA) in early February of 2018 and had meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Zhang Kejian and other management.

Representatives discussed and had information exchange on the civil aviation industry development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Last year, the Baiyun Airport had remarkable improvement on service and well recognized by the passengers. The GAA is currently driving the development of Jieyang Chaoshan Airport, Zhanjiang Airport, Meixian Airport and Huizhou Airport.

Integration of military and civil with trial airspace management was started in the region and initial success was achieved. Under the existing limited capacity of its existing infrastructure, Macau International Airport (MIA) has actively tapped its potentials to enhance its efficiency and give full play to the advantages of small and medium-sized airports and achieved good operating results. Both sides hope to strengthen exchanges and learn from each other’s strengths and comprehensively enhance the development and construction of civil aviation in the region.
