On 20th June, 2018, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Dr. Deng Jun led a delegation to meet with Commissioner of Fire Services Department (CB) Chefe-Mor Leung Iok Sam at the fire station in Macau International Airport, to talk about the operational and environmental situation there, both parties have further discussed and exchanged views on the existing firefighting equipment and infrastructure of the Airport Station of CB and will continue to strengthen communication and cooperation, to further improve and upgrade the equipment and configuration of the airport fire station as to support the fire safety work at the airport.

Fire Services Department Airport Station undertakes the responsibility of emergency rescue at Macau International Airport (MIA), when an emergency occurs, it is a matter of second.  Therefore, the relevant equipment and rescue vehicles in the fire station played a key role. During the meeting, both parties discussed the replacement of the fire equipment and rescue vehicles, as to help the firefighter in the airport to perform more efficiently.  After the meeting, they visited the firefighters’ dormitory, training and fitness facilities, to review the implementation of the work after the meeting last year and the new equipment that had been replaced, such as: lockers, facilities in office, facilities for rest, fitness equipment, lighting systems. Through continued optimization of the training and living environment of the firefighters, we hope to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of airport firefighting work.
