In order to follow up with the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, strengthen the communication and cooperation with airports in the Pearl River Delta, and enhance the operational efficiency and safety in Macau International Airport (MIA), Airport Operations Division of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) has arranged an airport visit as part of the refresher course of Airport Operations Division this year to enhance relevant knowledge and skills.

13 members of Airport Operations Division visitedShenzhenBaoanInternationalAirporton November 15, 2018 and a warm welcome was given by Mr. Lin Jun - Operation Director and Deputy General Manager ofAirportOperationCommandCenterinShenzhenAirport. Representatives of Airport Operations Center (AOC), Airfield Management Department, andTerminalOperationsCenterfromShenzhenAirportgave brief presentations of the airport, and representatives of both airports shared experience and discussed many topics about airport operations. After the share, our group visited the airport operations departments such asAOCCommandCenter,AirfieldManagementDepartmentOperationCenter,ApronControlCenter, and Emergency Command Bus. Through the experience and techniques shared by both parties, our representatives gained useful knowledge and thoughts, which are useful for further enhancement on the operational efficiency and quality of MIA.

This visit was led by Mr.Jason Lam- Acting Head of Airport Operations Service and Mr.Niki Chao- Head of Operations Safety and Standard Service. Other participants includedAirport Supervisors, Operations Safety Coordinator, and Airport Operations Officers.
