On May 28 2019, the Greater Bay Area Airspace Synergetic Development Seminar, organized by the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, was held at Baiyun International Conference Center in Guangzhou. More than 60 delegates from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao air traffic management units, the five airports in Greater Bay Area and related Airlines participated in this important event. The meeting highlighted the relevant work done by ATMB on the establishment of Airspace Planning Simulation Platform and the planned work for next phase. The airport and airline representatives at the meeting introduced their respective operational status and ardent expectations on the needs of more airspace and suggestions for its reform. At the end, the meeting passed a proposal for synergetic airspace development in the Great Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Mr. Gary Geng, Director of Operations Branch of Airport Operations Department from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) made a presentation at the meeting about the operational status, challenges and future development plan of Macau International Airport. Mr. Hoover Hu, Senior Head of Air Traffic Services Division, Operations Branch, also attended the seminar together with the representatives from AACM and Air Macau.
