CDC request to set up a pax holding area as a preventive measure on Wuhan pneumonia virus; Hangar was selected as holding area, 48 seats benches were moved to hangar holding area with partition set up to isolate the area, water dispenser and mobile toilets were set up at holding area; deep cleaning to the holding area.

Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM Dr. Deng Jun and others conducted an onsite inspection at MIA.

Received guidelines from CDC regarding the “Prevention of Pneumonia Detected in Wuhan – Extend Preventive Measures on Wuhan Pneumonia Virus for all flights” and fax was issued by Airport Director to all Airlines & Operators.

CDC set up a Temperature Checkpoint at middle Dep Public.

Guidelines, health declaration form sample and QR Code for e-system for online health declaration were placed at Arrival Immigration and Baggage Claim.

Set up for filling in health declaration form at Baggage Claim Temperature Checkpoint.

Notice in reminding people to wear surgical mask when staying inside Passenger Terminal Building and during flight was placed at all Check-in Counters and Boarding Gates.

Airlines were reminded health declaration procedures were subjected to all inbound people including crew members since some crews refused to fill the form.

Two hand form liquid disinfectant machines added at the entrance of Departure Security Check.

Barriers were placed to isolate a bench next to Dep Temperature Checkpoint in case pax detected with fever.

CDC claimed that 4 Airlines did not distribute declaration form on board. MIA once again reminded Airlines to distribute and inform passenger to fill health declaration.

Information regarding visitor from Hubei should leave Macau territory before 09:00 on 27 Jan was uploaded to MIA Kiosk at Arrival Immigration and Baggage Claim.

27 Jan

Special channel for visitor from Hubei Province was set up at south and north Arr Immigration. All E-channels only available for Macau Resident.

Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM Dr. Deng Jun and others conducted an onsite inspection at MIA.

Close coordination with Immigration, Airport Supervisor and GHA for visitor from Hubei Province who stranded at MIA due to failure to present medical certificate. Eventually, government arranged transportation to MIA to transport those visitors to China.

Airlines were reminded to ensure Hubei passenger was able to present a medical certificate at their outstation during check-in.
