CAM Executive Director Mr. Chu Tan Neng and His Delegation Attended the “2020 China Civil Aviation Four-type Airport Construction and Development Conference and Achievement Exhibition”

Executive Director of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) Mr. Chu Tan Neng and his delegation attended “2020 China Civil Aviation Four-type Airport Construction and Development Conference and Achievement Exhibition” held by China Civil Airports Association (CCAA) in Xiamen from 29th to 30th October 2020. Mr. Dong Zhiyi – Deputy Administrator of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Mr. Huang Xiaozhou – Deputy Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People’s Government, Mr. Jiang Chunshui – Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy Administrator of CAAC East China Regional Administration, Ms. Wang Ruiping – Director General of China Civil Airports Association attended and gave speeches respectively.

Deputy Administrator Mr. Dong pointed out in his speech that during The Thirteenth Five-Year Plan, the whole industry closely adheres to the development requirements of safety, green, smart, and humanity, and the development philosophy and practice of Four-type airports have become a significant symbol of entering the stage of high-quality development in the field of civil aviation airports. Firstly, the construction of Safe Airport continues to be promoted while the safety foundation to be further consolidated. Secondly, the development concept of green airport is implemented and the development sustainability to be enhanced. Thirdly, the construction of smart airport is widely carried out and the efficiency of sophisticated intelligent management is highlighted. Fourth, humanistic airport construction has gained popularity, and the “China Service” brand has been widely praised. In the next five years, CAAC will focus more on the objectives of the Four Type airports in its development. To build a safe airport, it is necessary to highlight air defense safety, public security safety, operation safety and fire control safety, the public environment should be safe and stable, the running state is stable and orderly, and the emergency response is timely and effective. To build a green airport, it is necessary to focus on energy conservation, emission reduction and sustainable development in the whole life cycle of the airport, provide a comfortable and environmentally friendly air travel environment and safe and efficient production and operation, and achieve the coordination and compatibility with the regional environment. To build a smart airport, it is necessary to highlight science and technology and innovation within the entire business chain of the airport, so as to achieve efficient production and operation, panoramic view of security control, personalized aviation and travel service customization, efficient linkage of transportation hubs, and accurate interaction of business ecology. To build humanistic airport, it is necessary to highlight humanistic experience, carry forward Chinese spirit, highlight characteristic culture, reflect humanistic care, and realize harmonious development with different social groups within the scope of activities of all users of the airport.

In order to facilitate the implementation of “Outline of Action for the Construction of Four-type Airports (2020-2035)” issued by CAAC, the China Civil Airports Association (CCAA) organized the conference and achievement exhibition under the guidance of CAAC, to promptly exchange and conclude the experience and best practices of Four-type airport construction among the airports and demonstrate the construction achievement; meanwhile, to promote the development of China’s airports towards to high-quality and vision of building up China as the strong civil aviation nation in the new era. Mr. Liu Chunchen, Director of the Airport Department of CAAC, Mr. Jin Junhao, Deputy Director of the Transportation Department, and Ms. Tang Furong, Deputy Director of the Public Security Bureau delivered keynote speeches in their management fields respectively, Mr. Zhang Rui, Deputy Director of the Airport Department released and interpreted “Guidelines for the Construction of Four-type Airport”, Mr. Ma Zhigang, Deputy Director of the Airport Department released the “Element of Four-type Airport” and “The List of Four-type Airport Demonstration Projects 2020”, and Mr. Guo Jingcheng, Deputy Investigator of the Standards and Qualification Division of the Airport Department, released and interpreted the “Construction Guide of Humanistic Airport”, Mr. Liang Manjie, Deputy Director of the Security Department of the Airport Department, released "Encyclopedia of Civil Airports of China (2020)".  Representatives from each airport has introduced and exchanged experience on the Four-type airport construction. Through exhibitions and demonstrations, the participants were allowed to enhance their understanding on the construction of the Four-type airport, which will accelerate the construction and support the innovative development of the industry while cultivating talents who expertise in building the Four-type airport, and establish working platform to jointly promote the construction of the Four-type airport.

In recent years, upgrade and optimization of Macau International Airport are keeping launched to advance the airport security works. These included the replacement of the airport apron and landside enclosure and installation of a 12-kilometer double-layer security fence with border intrusion detection systems, the number of high-precision CCTV system surveillance cameras in the airport was increased to expand surveillance coverage by 30%, and 40 new security inspection equipment were introduced accordingly.

With the construction of new AOCC & EOC and integration of A-CDM platform, the operation safety and efficiency are greatly improved, meanwhile, the cyber security will be further strengthened, biometric technology will be fully introduced, paperless travel will also be promoted, and “One ID” will be deployed, so as to enhance the travel experience.
