Macau International Airport (MIA) as an important defense line for entering Macau, shoulder its responsibility on protecting the Macau society and ensuring the personnel safety and health of the airport staff by actively implementing the SAR Government’s anti-pandemic guideline of “guarding against the importation of cases and the resurgence of domestic infections” and the epidemic prevention control measures and strategies formulated by Executive Committee of the company. Furthermore, CAM Epidemic Prevention Response Committee meetings are held from time to time to review and upgrade prevention mechanism and measures. Meanwhile, MIA has been calling for personnel working at MIA to get vaccination against COVID-19 for raising the vaccination coverage rate in order to achieve herd immunity and effectively prevent the spread of the pandemic to the community. According to the latest statistics from CAM Epidemic Prevention Response Committee, CAM and its subsidiaries Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS), SEMAC Security Company has a staff vaccination rate of 97% while the vaccination rate of 22 Subconcessionaires and Service Providers of MIA reached 94%. Macau International Airport will strictly and meticulously adopt various epidemic prevention and control measures in a continuous manner, while to jointly establish the immune barrier and guard the air gateway of Macau.
