Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) is honoured to be awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, expressing gratitude to CAM that has been proactively cooperating and responding to the SAR Government’s epidemic prevention work during citywide NAT programme, and demonstrated the courage to undertake social and corporate responsibility, whilst making contribution to the public health intervention in safeguarding the health of Macau.

Macau International Airport (MIA) as an important defense line for entering into Macau, shoulders its responsibility on protecting the Macau society and ensuring the personnel safety and health of the staff. MIA implemented relevant anti-quarantine measures starting from 1st January 2020 in cooperation with requirement of the SAR Government. Furthermore, CAM Epidemic Prevention Response Committee meetings are held from time to time to review and upgrade prevention mechanism and emergency procedures with effective implementation of “guarding against the importation of cases, the resurgence of domestic infections, keep prevention on both passenger and cargo” to protect our airport staff, citizens and passengers. Kuo Kim – Macau International Airport Nucleic Acid Test Station  which is recognized testing institution by Macau SAR Health Bureau (SSM), has launched for serving air passengers with valid tickets, staff from related entities of MIA, and borders’ frontline staff registered with SSM since January 2021. To cater for the needs of Macau in epidemic prevention, MIA has been actively cooperating with the SAR Government in implementation of prevention works and organizing several rounds of the citywide NAT programme. During that, Kuo Kim – MIA NAT Station served a sampling station providing service to the public and working population in Macau. Moreover, CAM proactively implements relevant anti-epidemic and quarantine measures according to requirements of SSM and Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR. The pandemic is not yet over, MIA will strictly and meticulously adopt various epidemic prevention and control measures in a continuous manner. Each airport team member will perform their respective duties and make every effort in fighting the battle against pandemic to jointly build a front-line prevention barrier and guard the air gateway of Macau.
