Information about Confirmed Case of SEMAC Security Company Employee

Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) was notified by SEMAC Security Company (SEMAC), that a trainer in SEMAC was classified as positive case in the evening of 30th November 2022. It was learned that he had a common track with the taxi driver of the positive case announced earlier. After the Government’s announcement on 28th November 2022 about the confirmed case and the activity track, SEMAC immediately suspended the work of the trainer. And he was listed as a non-core close contact and was placed under the control of the Government, during which the NAT results were negative until last night (30th November 2022) he was diagnosed positive. Subsequently, two colleagues have been informed today (1st December 2022) that they need to undergo compulsory quarantine. Currently, SEMAC has arranged the personnel of the training department and the relevant trainees to suspend their work, while work-from-home arrangement were adapted for other office staff and strictly conduct personal health monitoring. At the same time, all employees must conduct NAT twice in two consecutive days, RAT on coming Saturday and Sunday to report on Macau Health Code application and any situation must be reported immediately. After notified by SEMAC, CAM has immediately arranged to carry out comprehensive disinfection works to all public areas, facilities and area related to the activity track of the above-mentioned positive cases in the office building. The operating units and tenants in the building have been informed of the situation and reminded to closely check and update the status of their employees. CAM reiterates that all operating units and tenants are required to perform notification responsibility once any special case related to the pandemic was found and to follow up in case of epidemic prevention incidents in a timely manner.

The CAM Executive Committee held an emergency meeting this afternoon to discuss targeted prevention and control measures, remind other tenants on the same floor to take stricter measures, be vigilant to eliminate any possibility of transmission risks, and remind everyone to follow the established procedures, report relevant situations in a timely manner.

According to the epidemic prevention guidelines of Macau Health Bureau, all people entering CAM office building are required to present a valid Macau venue green code, and all personnel entering CAM Office Building during 1st to 9th December 2022 are required to present negative result of rapid RAT on the day, or a negative NAT report within 24 hours after the sampling day. CAM is also strictly abide by established anti-epidemic measures and disinfection works to all common area, public facilities in the office building have been further enhanced. CAM has also launched an electronic declaration system for managing prevention information recently, requiring all employees to declare their status of Macau health code, nucleic acid test results, immigration activities, travel history and vaccination, etc. CAM will continue to cooperate with the government’s prevention and control works, and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of tenants and staff.
