CAM Chairman of EC and Delegation Received Representatives from Spring Airlines

Mr. Chan Weng Hong, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM and Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Executive Director of CAM warmly welcomed Mr. Stephen Wang, Chairman of Spring Airlines Company Limited and his delegation on 19th September 2023. Both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on development plans of Spring Airlines, and discussed ways to forge closer co-operation between the airport and the airline.

During the meeting, CAM’s representative introduced the current development approaches of Macau International Airport (MIA) as well as the progress of airport expansion projects. As the epidemic measures subsided, passenger volume of MIA recorded significant increase. It is hoped that Spring Airlines can adjust the number of frequencies to increase flight service to Macau and gradually resume to pre-pandemic level so as to reach new heights. Additionally, Spring Airlines expressed that the airline is currently enhancing the crew service standard comprehensively; with more crew members joined, it is expected that flight capacity could be resumed to pre-pandemic level by 2024. At the same time, Spring Airlines hopes to take the advantage of MIA unparalleled connectivity to provide more flexible options for passengers using MIA as their destination or connecting flights to other places.

CAM representatives: Mr. Gary Geng, Director of Airport Operation Department and Ms. Fiona Fong, Deputy Director of Marketing Department.
