Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) representatives participated in the 7th China Low Cost Carriers Summit took place in Shanghai from 1st to 2nd November 2023. With the meeting theme of “The Low Cost Carriers (LCC) Development in the Post Covid Era”, it aims to promote face-to-face exchanges between the Mainland of China and the global LCC industry, while strengthening business ties and seeking cooperation opportunities to facilitate the gradual recovery of the aviation industry after the pandemic. This summit attracted more than 300 representatives from airlines, airports, travel service providers, aircraft manufacturers, leasing and maintenance companies, consulting agencies, technology suppliers, governments and medias from over 30 countries and regions.

CAM representatives took this opportunity to closely interact with the low-cost airline industry, to understand the changes and prospects of the market after the epidemic. Meanwhile, they also engaged with airlines to explore opportunities on developing more potential routes to the Mainland of China, and cooperated with low-cost airlines in Southeast Asia to further expand the international markets. Through participated in this summit, CAM representatives are allowed to jointly explore cooperation opportunities with industry leaders and create favour conditions for promoting route development of Macau, while enhancing the low cost route services of MIA.
