On 27th February 2024, a delegation of Airport Operations Department (AOD) of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) visited the Civil Protection Operations Center (COPC). The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the command and coordination works of the COPC in response to public emergency events. The delegation received a warm welcome from Mr. Lei Iat Meng, the Director of Civil Protection Research and Operations Coordination Division (DEPCOPC) of the Unitary Police Service (SPU).

The representative of SPU made an introduction to the organizational structure of the SPU and civil protection system, the activation procedures of the COPC, the overall operation process and the coordination mechanism. CAM delegation also visited various facilities and equipment at the COPC, including the operations room, radio control room, meeting rooms and other areas.

This visit strengthened exchange between Macau International Airport (MIA) and the Civil Protection Operations Center regarding civil protection work. It also provided reference for the equipment and operational mechanisms of the new Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at MIA.
