CAM Representative Participated In The “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Civil Aviation Youth Exchange Program”

Representative from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Civil Aviation Youth Exchange Program” jointly organized by the Central and Southern Region Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong (CAD) and co-hosted by Cathay Pacific was launched in Guangzhou on 17th May 2024 and successfully concluded in Hong Kong on 20th May 2024. The theme of “GBA Quest for Dreams, Youthful companionship Lights the Path” aims to provide an interactive platform for civil aviation youths in the GBA to have an in-depth understanding of the aviation industry in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, promote the exchanges of talents and, promote collaborative development of quality and building a long-term mechanism of complementary advantages and resource sharing, and promote high quality and synergistic development of civil aviation in the GBA.

About 60 young aviation participants from the GBA visited aviation facilities and organizations including the CAD, Hong Kong International Airport, the Government Flying Service, the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited and Cathay Pacific to learn about the latest developments and applications of advanced technologies in the local aviation industry. During the Exchange Forum on the last day of the program, 8 youth representatives were selected to introduce and share their daily work experience. Representative of Macau International Airport, Mr. Michael Iun, Senior Supervisor of the Passenger Terminal Service of the Airport Operations Department, shared the topic of Daily Passenger Processing at Macau International Airport.

This Program allows civil aviation youths in the Bay Area's to understand the unique characteristics of their respective airports, as well as the latest industry developments and technological applications. This helps young people grasp the development opportunities in the civil aviation industry within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
