From 23rd to 25th September 2024, Mr. Chan Weng Hong, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Executive Director of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), and his delegation were invited to Beijing to participate in “The 9th Beijing Global Friend Airports CEO Forum” hosted by Capital Airports Holdings Co., Ltd. The theme of this forum is “Building an Airport Community with a Shared Future”. It focuses on the three major topics of “aviation hub creation and airport economic development”, “smart airport construction” and “sustainable development” to share industry wisdom together, strengthen the friendly cooperation between airports, and promote the rapid development of the global airport industry. The forum attracted more than 300 representatives from the local governments and related agencies, industry authorities, international organizations, sister airports and friendly airports, domestic and regional airports, domestic and foreign airlines, domestic industry associations and service providers, it is the largest and most extensive forum since it was established.

During the three-day event, the conference also arranged for airport representatives to visit the Capital Airport Operation Control Center to share valuable experience. Through this forum, CAM representatives exchanged views with the experts of airport and industry to discuss the topic of improving airport safety, operations and service levels, and looked into the future development trends of the aviation industry. In addition, some airport representatives expressed their interest in expanding to the Macau market and opening up routes to Macau.

(AIMS) and Mr. Daniel Lam, Manager of Marketing Department.
