As jointly hosted by the Air Traffic Management Bureau of Civil Aviation Administration of China and Civil Aviation University of China, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Asia-Pacific region of Future-oriented Air Traffic Controller Capacity-building workshop was held from 30th to 31st October 2024 in Tianjin. Representative of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) was invited to participate such event. A total of about 50 people from 13 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region, relevant organizations and corporate representatives attended.

During the meeting, relevant units introduced on air traffic controller capability improvement training, the application of new AI technology in ATC training, psychological ability training, aviation safety management and safety culture, as well as the air to ground coordination under emergency situation, etc. Meanwhile, the 9th China Civil Aviation Air Traffic Control Jobs (Air Traffic Controller and Aeronautical Information Service Officer) Vocational Skills Competition was held in the Civil Aviation University of China. Meeting attendants were also invited to observe such event and highly appreciated of their technological ability and professionalism.
