Latest Regulations on Power Bank Usage by Airlines Operating at MIA
To ensure aviation safety, most airlines operating at Macau International Airport have been gradually revising and implementing regulations governing the carriage and usage of power banks at present and in April 2025. In addition to the current regulations for power bank, improper use inside the cabin or failure to comply with relevant regulations may affect the normal operation of flights. Passengers are advised of the following:
1. Carry Onboard, Travel Safely
- Power banks must remain in carry-on luggage. Storage in following is strictly prohibited:
✗ Checked baggage (may trigger secondary screening)
✗ Overhead compartments (may hinder emergency access) is strictly prohibited.
- Power banks must not be used at any time during the flight.
2. Prepare Ahead, Travel Smoothly
- Passenger has doubt about the storage and use of power banks in the cabin, you may contact your carrier to confirm the latest regulations and restrictions before travel;
