2025 / 11 / 29

Recently, in response to a notice issued by Airbus requiring a major software upgrade for its A320 series aircraft, Macau International Airport (MIA) anticipates potential delays for some flights over these two days.

According to information obtained from airlines, A320 aircrafts account for approximately 60% of all flights operate at Macau International Airport, and are used by about 40% of the airlines. This upgrade is a necessary operation required by the aircraft manufacturer to ensure fleet operational safety and compliance with technical standards.

Currently, Macau International Airport has established a close communication and coordination mechanism with relevant airlines and will flexibly adjust operational arrangements according to the actual needs of each airline to ensure smooth flight operations. The airport advises passengers planning to travel recently to closely monitor flight updates released by their respective airlines or check the latest information through official Macau International Airport channels to adjust their travel plans accordingly.
