Since its official commencement of operations on 8th December 1995, Macau International Airport (MIA) has played a vital role in connecting Macau with the world. Over the past three decades, MIA has witnessed remarkable growth in local tourism and economic development, emerging as a key hub for regional business and international exchange. To mark this significant milestone and the special occasion, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) hosted a special celebration on 8th December 2025. The event was attended by Mr. Chan Weng Hong, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM, Executive Director of CAM Mr. Chu Tan Neng, Mr. Lei Si Tai and representatives from long-term partners such as General Manager of Air Macau Co., Ltd. Mr. Wu Lixin and Manager of Passenger Section EVA Airways Corp. (Macau Branch) Mr. Kai Ian and Station Manager Mr. James Lin. Together, they expressed heartfelt gratitude to the passengers who have supported the growth of MIA over the past 30 years.

As a highlight of the celebration, MIA has specially selected the routes that have been in continuous operation since its opening 30 years ago, namely, Beijing (NX002/NX001), Shanghai (NX137/NX138), and Taipei (BR802/BR801). These routes have not only maintained the same flight numbers and schedules for 30 consecutive years, but have also carried countless cherished memories for passengers. During the celebration, MIA offered carefully curated commemorative gifts and vibrant celebration cakes at designated boarding gates. The airport mascot, “GoGo” also made a surprise appearance in the terminal, interacting with travellers, posing for photos, and sharing the joy with everyone—lifting the festive atmosphere to new heights. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the collective joy and a sincere thanks to all who have supported and journeyed with Macau International Airport over the past three decades.
