On 10th December 2025, a delegation from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) attended the “Launch Ceremony of Jinan-Macau Route of Air Macau and Product Promotion Session” held in Jinan, actively promoting the new direct flight between Jinan and Macau, which commenced service on 11th December 2025. The visit also strengthened ties with local tourism industry stakeholders and media in Shandong, jointly exploring opportunities in the Northern China passenger market.

During the event, Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department (MKD) of CAM, was interviewed by the Shandong Broadcasting Television. He shared insights on the significance of the new route for enhancing connectivity between the two regions. Mr. Fong stated that the launch of the direct Jinan-Macau flight marks another step forward in air links between Macau and Shandong Province. Macau International Airport (MIA) is committed to expanding its flight network and strengthening connectivity with key cities in the Mainland of China. This new route not only provides Shandong residents with convenient access to Macau, but also helps to promote to more diverse clientele through Macau International Airport’s cross-border transfer services. MIA will continue to optimize infrastructure and service processes, aligning with Macau’s “Tourism+” integration policy to create a smoother and more comfortable travel experience for passengers. Mr. Fong also highlighted that the airport is working closely with airlines and tourism partners to develop diversified travel products, aiming to attract more visitors from Northern China to experience the unique Sino-Portuguese cultural charm of Macau.

The new route will operate three weekly round-trip flights (every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), further fostering economic, tourism and cultural exchanges between Shandong and Macau. CAM looks forward to collaborating closely with airline partners and industry stakeholders to explore new market opportunities and deliver a high-quality, efficient travel experience for all passengers.
