To enhance air connectivity between Macau and Southwest China, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) was invited by Air Macau to jointly hold a promotion event “Fly Beyond 30 years: A Decade of Guizhou‑Macau Connection” from 17th to 19th April 2026, at Wanxianghui in Guiyang. The event combined offline booth interactions, online media and live streaming, targeting local residents, travel agencies and media representatives of Guiyang, local government leaders also attended as support. The event introduced the diverse tourism resources of Macau as a “World Tourism and Leisure Center”, as well as the convenience of transferring via Macau International Airport (MIA) to international destinations, offering travellers from both cities more flexible travel options.

Mr. Eric Fong, Director of Marketing Department (MKD) of CAM stated: “This promotional event directly reached the general public and successfully raised awareness of “Transfer via Macau” in the Guiyang market. As a key gateway in Southwest China, Guiyang has significant potential for both tourism and transit. We will continue to work with Air Macau to explore more potential mainland cities and expand the route network of MIA.” In addition, in response to market demand, Air Macau launched a range of interline products from 17th to 24th April, including direct flights from Guiyang to Macau and connecting flights via Macau to multiple international destinations. With special fares and convenient service such as one-ticket luggage check-through service, the campaign aims to encourage more Guizhou residents to travel to Macau or transit through Macau to destinations around the world.
