Macau International Airport unveil the first mascot named GOGO

2018 / 02 / 10

Hosted by Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) and co-organized by Macau Artist Society, Macau Designer Association (MDA) and Institute of Macao Civil Aviation (IMCA), the Macau International Airport (MIA) Mascot Design Competition Awards Ceremony has been held in a warm atmosphere at Departure Hall of Macau International Airport on 10th February 2018. Along with the song performed by artist Vivian Chan, GOGO has vividly come to the stage and performed its lovely dance. The ceremony is followed by question games, photo-shooting and souvenirs presentation with GOGO and audiences.

Literally, “GOGO” means to rise and leap forward in Chinese, while its homonym in English represents to lead and advance.

The design of GOGO contains images of bird and airplane pilot, and is colored in MIA’s logo fashion to deliver its energetic and lovely character. The feather-shape decoration on GOGO’s head is inspired by and reshaped from MIA’s logo, endorsing its role as the goodwill ambassador of MIA.

To introduce GOGO to Macau citizens, MIA has specially designed a series of GOGO emoticons and is available for download now. Let’s catch up with the trend and say hello to your friends with the new emoticons!
