CAM Representative Attended the 8th China Airport Service Conference

On 2nd September 2023, the 8th China Airport Service Conference was held in Beijing with the theme of “Lighting up the Service of China and Helping to Improve Efficiency”. The conference was co-hosted by China Civil Airports Association (CCAA), the Ministry of Commerce of the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE), China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology and CAAC News. Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) as the Board member of CCAA, have sent the Chief Representative of Beijing Representative Office, Ms. Yuan Weifang to attend the conference.

Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Mr. Han Jun stated that the Airport Service Conference of this year has made use of the Service Trade Fair platform, that help to fully exchange the experiences and practices of the airport industry in post-epidemic recovery. This is a great significance to further improve the quality of airport services, to better meet the travel needs of passengers and give full play to the role of civil aviation in promoting high-level development of service trade.

General Director of CCAA Ms. Wang Ruiping stated that the quality of service industry development is an important area for the economic and social development of the country with airport transport services being an important part of international service trade and aviation industry in China. In accordance with the requirements of “The 14th Five-Year Plan for the Public Aviation Passenger Service Planning”, the Airport Association has updated the “2023 Transport Airport Service Quality Evaluation Index System” of which the weight of the satisfaction to airline has been increased by 5%, while the refinement of two indicators, the flight normal dimension in the take-off normal rate and temporary flight cancellation, demonstrated a clear direction for further improvement.

The two-day conference focused on exchanging ideas regarding the service and industry's excellent development, service quality topics on new characteristics and demands for air travel after the pandemic, the construction of friendly airports that can satisfy airlines, project of shortening travel time, improving flight regularity and usage of loading bridges, etc. The conference provided a platform for communication and exchange among airlines, air traffic control, and airports to promote high-quality development in aviation transportation. It also strengthened the construction of airport service brands from different levels and multiple aspects so as to constantly promote the high-quality development of transport airport services.
