2014 Result Evaluation and 2015 Work Plan of MIA Operating Companies

On 3rdFeb2015, threesubsidiariesof Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM): Administration of Airports Limited (ADA), Airport Information Management Solutions (AIMS) and Macau International Airport Security (SEMAC) had a2014 Result Evaluationand 2015Work Plan Presentation at CAM Office Building.

 

Mr. Patrick Ong - Chief Executive Officer of ADA concluded their works in 2014on different aspects: security & safety, operation, engineering, environment and customer serviceetc. ADA has been operating MIA with other entities in safe, dependable and effective manner. They work to fulfill customer demands, enhance the international image and environmental protection of MIAwith the concept of sustainable development seriouslytakenin operation. Of which, ADA speciallyfocused on customer services, complaints received in 2014 fell by 43% while commendation increasedby 92% after airport facilities update and improvement in passenger serice. In 2015, ADA will provide more high quality and considerate services for passengers, improve airport passenger experience at the same time ensure in the security of flight operation and the passengers safety.

 

Airport Information Management Technology Co., Ltd. (AIMS) achieved a pre-tax profit of MOP920 thousandsin 2014. Ms. Sharon Wang – the Managing Director pointed out AIMS was committed to the construction of Virtual Airport and promote Smart Airport. Over the year of 2014, they focused onairport information technology support and maintenance work, andalso researched and upgraded new smart phone APP cooperated with CAM. IT projects will be continually promoted in 2015, including upgrade and rebuild of existing systems and introduction of new technology systems to further strengthen the airport operation and management level. The assessment and design work of Airport Operation Data Base (AODB) System, Airport Data Center of MIA, and cooperation with BDStar Navigationwill be the key responsibilities of AIMS in 2015.

 

Mr. He Ming – the General Manager of Macau Security Co, Ltd.(SEMAC) notedthat SEMAC wascommitted to ensure the security ofover53,000 flights, 5.48million passengers, over 2,500 business jet flights, checked over 112,000 cargo & mail, seized out about 220,000 pieces of contrabands and dangerous goods. Airport security receivedlesseffective complaints while invalid complaints increasedas most invalid complaints were due to passengers’ misunderstanding ofsecurity programs and safety regulations. Therefore, SEMAC will further advance on communication with passengersin the future. SEMACset up strict performance evaluation and quantification scheme to reward and penalize staffin order to motivate employees’work morale and enthusiasm. SEMAC also completed technical reserves, improved service quality and improved the passenger satisfaction by strengthen staff training and technology exchanges.In 2015, SEMAC will improve staff emergency response capability, provide more training of aviation safety knowledge and optimizemanagement ofhuman resources in order to ensure the security work of high quality.
